Coronation Street spoilers follow for Friday’s episode (31 October), which is available to watch now on streaming service ITVX and YouTube, and hasn’t yet aired on TV.
Coronation Street’s Carl Webster and James Bailey are finally caught out tonight, but Carl goes to desperate lengths to cover up his second affair. Carl is now in a relationship with Abi, after an affair behind his brother Kevin’s back – but he is also secretly sleeping with James.
Ben suddenly turned violent and shoved Carl against a wall, delivering a sinister threat and warning him to stay away from his family.
At the Halloween party in today’s episode, Ben spotted Carl and kicked him out, making it clear that he wasn’t welcome in the pub under his management.

James followed Carl outside to check on him, saying that although he’s been a “total idiot” lately, he still cares about him. The pair grew closer again but were caught when Debbie walked into the backyard and demanding to know what was going on.
While Carl protested that they were just discussing personal training, Debbie didn’t look convinced and headed to work. The moment had been ruined, and James insisted that they could only be friends now that Carl was with Abi.
Later at the hotel, when Carl showed up for his shift, Debbie confronted him with her suspicions that he is having an affair with James.

Debbie was adamant about what she saw and demanded to know the truth – so Carl decided to use a cruel tactic to save his own skin and said that she had gotten confused, a sign of her dementia.
“This is the start of it. You’re losing your marbles,” Carl told his sister. “You’ll be walking down the street in your nightie next. You’re not making any sense. I’m worried about you.”
This was enough to make Debbie question herself, and she apologised to Carl for making an incorrect assumption.

Kevin later made amends with Debbie, and Carl then told him that they should come together and park their feud so they can keep an eye on their unwell sister.
